They call it bleach because of Ichigo’s hair. His hair color is a natural ‘orange’ you get it if you bleach black hair, he cops quite a bit of flack for it when he’s younger, one other student, whom has bleached his hair insists Ichigo goes back to his normal hair color to avoid coppying him, which fires up ichigo quite a bit!
That’s why they call it bleach!!!;]

Yea, you guys lets be civilized! I think Kara is right and i saw it in Wikipedia i think! Both reasons, that is! And even though Wikipedia SHOULDN’T be trusted all the time, if you think about it, it kinda makes sense! there are actually 3 versions explaining the title.
1. Anime artist likes Nirvana, that have an albun called “Bleach” (I don’t think this one is true though)
2. Because Bleach=Protector (hmm)
3. (I believ this one relly much) Because some japaneese people think that is their hair color wasn’t black they would look more like europeans. So they BLEACH their hair and it becomes either orange (when sucsessful) or brown (lil fail). That’s why everybody was getting at Ichigo for his hair colour.
And yes, I know that Ichigo’s hair was not bleached.
